The Holiday Shopping Card is a unique fundraising event in Houston and the surrounding areas sponsored by VICTORY, a volunteer fundraising branch of the American Cancer Society. During the fall of each year, in partnership with area merchants, VICTORY offers The Holiday Shopping Card directly to the public. For a minimum $70 donation, shoppers receive a 20% discount at participating merchants during a predetermined 11 day shopping spree.

VICTORY, a special 130 volunteer member branch of the American Cancer Society, has donated an average of $2 million annually from The Holiday Shopping Card and the Cattle Baron’s Ball. |
Can $70 really make a difference? YES! Here are your dollars at work in the Houston area.
- $30 provides a cancer patient with transportation to and from the medical facility where one receives life-saving cancer treatment.
- $50 provides a wig for a cancer patient that has lost one’s hair due to treatments
- $50 funds a support group session to help cancer patients and their family members understand and cope with cancer
- $60 provides approximately 20 hours of toll-free access for the American Cancer Society’s National Cancer Information Center. This center receives 1.2 million calls every year.
- $100 provides overnight accommodations at a free or reduced rate for cancer patients who must travel to receive treatment
- $250 provides a mastectomy patient with a fitting and permanent breast prosthesis.
